July Pet Holidays

Lost Pet Prevention Month

July is National Lost Pet Prevention Month, an awareness campaign dedicated to safeguarding your furry friends. Since summer—especially the Fourth of July—is the peak season for pets running away due to fireworks, open doors, and travel, it’s a vital time to secure and update your pet’s identification.

Observed annually in July, National Pet Hydration Awareness Month is a vital campaign to educate pet parents on the dangers of heatstroke and dehydration for cats and dogs during the hottest part of the summer. Keeping your companion hydrated is critical to their overall well-being, as their bodies are composed of about 70-80% water.
