Does your pup have back to school blues?

It is that time of year, back to school! With the kids being out of the house more often, back to school can be stressful for pets. The sudden switch from long summer days to spending time alone can be tough for pets. This can lead to some serious back to school blues.
How to Prepare Your Pet for Back to School
- Ease your pet into a new routine – Wake up earlier, take your dog for a walk, and leave your pet alone for an extended time
- Curb Boredom – pick new toys, give treats, and utilize puzzle toys
- Determine Bathroom Breaks – know how long your dog can last without a break and/or get a pet sitter
- Do a Trial Run with Background Noise – leave a TV or radio on for you pet
- Consider Enrolling in a Training Class – have your dog attend a class or day care
- Exercise Your Dog – take your dog for walks or play in the yard
- Get a Pet Sitter – a sitter can check on your pet, walk your pet, and give them loving while you are away.
